Intellectual capital: we strive to continuously research, gather information related to the history and development of the dance and educate other members through ongoing communication, training and the involvement of both local and international industry experts
Professionalism: adhering to the code of ethics, conducting ourselves in a professional and moral manner, upholding the professionalism of the dance form through our conduct when performing and teaching, crediting all sources of music, choreography and research
The Highest Standards: aligning ourselves to the highest international standards, continuously reflecting and monitoring the quality of what we do and how we do it, never becoming complacent or arrogant, always striving for excellence in the dance
Respect: treating our fellow members, students and other dancers with respect and dignity, respecting ourselves as women through the dance, showing our audiences respect through the way we dress and conduct ourselves, respecting the origins of the dance form, it's cultural roots, music and costuming, respecting the areas in which other teachers train or perform,
Commitment: Committing ourselves to the enhancement of Middle Eastern dance, committing ourselves to the code of ethics Networking: This involves ongoing communication with fellow members, growing our data base, affiliation and partnering with national and international studios and dance experts
Social responsibility:
To educate fellow members and the public about the origins, history and purpose
of Middle Eastern Dance, to promote and protect the cultural and artistic elements
of the dance, to offer our support and commitment to various charities through
the art of dance and to actively seek out organisations/groups to assist Transparency,
inclusion, fairness: providing on going feedback regarding the association,
involvement and co-operation of all members, feedback and developmental awareness
for all members, respect and acknowledgement of each persons level and standard
through fair, valid and relevant assessment processes
