What are our objectives?

To regulate the industry to ensure that teachers are providing instruction that is technically correct as per the origins of the dance and to honour the spirit of the dance form to ensure that the dance form is not misunderstood or misinterpreted.
To ensure that teachers continually upgrade their skills and knowledge by attending workshops organised with internationally accredited performers and teachers.
To ensure that students receive the best and proper training that is internationally recognized according to leaders in the dance form worldwide.
To ensure that performing girls have the proper training and knowledge of the dance to ensure that when they are performing they stay true to the origins and spirit of the dance and not portray the dance form in a manner for which it was never intended (i.e. as a sexual magnet for men).
To elevate the status of belly dance as a genre in the international dance arena. " To ensure the growth of this dance form as an ancient traditional form of dance for women.
To form a curriculum that is acceptable within the international belly dance community so that teachers may know what to teach and students know what to expect as a student.
To ensure that before students can progress up to different levels they achieve pre-set requirements (exams/tests) for advancement through the levels. This to ensure fairness to all.
To introduce women and young girls to this dance form as both a means to express themselves and a means to get in touch with the woman within.
To ensure that the spirit of giving, sharing, caring and challenging women from all spheres of society is encouraged amongst the belly dance fraternity in the true spirit of women finding beauty within themselves.
The encourage women to change their perceptions about their bodies and who they are as individuals by teaching them that outer beauty is only reflected by inner beauty.
To teach women that no matter what your age or body size, the art of belly dance can resonate within each and every woman and find a space in her soul to awaken the goddess within.
